    Hi all,

    We are running about 30 VMs on 8 Hyper-V hosts blade Servers. All physical servers have 135 GB system disk and an LUN from XIV storage. All VMs are created on this LUN. All Physical servers have atleast 8GB Memory and atleast 4 processor cores free. Issue we are facing is that randomly all the VMs on any specific Host hang, we can remotely access the Host server but cant access its VMs. All VMs freezes and services running on these VMs also stops. Even cant connect to any VM from Hyper-V, "Alt+Cntrl+Del" button dont work. Then we'll have to physically restart the host server and then after restarting the host server evertything comes to normal. No useful event found neigther in VMs nor in the Host machine event viewer. The issue has arises almost on all the physical servers randomly. Please any idea how to troubleshoot this issue? thnx in advance...

    Did you have antivirus software installed on Hyper-V host machine? If so, please check the following blog.

    Thnx for the reply Vincent. yes we have SEP installed on the Host machine, ok i will add these processes in the exclusions then we'll verify the effects. But this issue arises randomly, sometimes in a week in 2 weeks on any Host. Lets apply the exclusions and wait for the results.

    Oh yes havnt found any log about blocked process or application in the SEP logs

    Thnx vincent for ur reply, but no Luck :( i made all the exceptions mentioned in ur refered article, but yesterday again I stucked into the same problem. It may be the storage issue..what u say?

    Can you try to remove the AV, and see if that works ok?

    No Alex still problem is the same. I removed the AV on last friday, but today early morning the same issue re occure..all VMs on one of our physical server were found hang...then we restarted the physical server. Please can anyone take me out of this?
