Remove Lync Icon from Windows 7 main taskbar?!?

    Question

  • Hi,

Unfortunately I have not found any setting in the ADM file or in the Lync client options to disabled the Lync icon in the main taskbar of windows 7.

It is possible to remove the Lync icon in the main taskbar?

The minimize lync icon by the windows clock is OK, but not in the main taskbar.

    Thank you for ideas.

Answers

    1. Open Lync Options
    2. With "General" selected on the left-hand side
    3. One of the last sections is titled "Application Window".  Place a check mark beside "Minimize to the notification area instead of the task bar".

  • Hi, YoWoo,

In addition, you can customize which icons and notifications appear in the notification area by Taskbar and Start Menu Properties configuration.

  • Hi Everyone,

i have installed Lync 2013 preview on windows 7 Enterprise...sory for posting late :)

Its very easy to use and refined product given by Microsoft...which elliminates some issues of Previous versions of Lync & OCS

such, Multi Chat on single windows,   manage contacts options etc...

use it and surely you will enjoyyy :)

  • Hi iamdickie,

This Option is alaways availble whether we use x64 or x86 bit OS (As given below)

The best option to intall Lync is installing from OFFICE 2013 Preview Option rather than individual setup (some time it misses files)....pls try this i am sure you will find this option....

    Pls Mark Answer if helpfull
