Your mailbox is almost Full - Exchange 2007 SP1 Rollup 9

    Question

  • Hello,

One of my customer is receiving alert saying <Your mailbox is almost full> even if his mailbox size is under the threshold. I did check using the get-mailboxStatistics exchange powershell command and the storageLimitStatus show <BelowLimit> with a totalItemSize of 97,869,833 and our limit is 300,000,000.

He complains receiving this alert every day at midnight (During the exchange SG Maintenance)

    Anyone have an idea ?

  • First off, you are in the Lync Server forums, not the Exchange server forums.

But....What is the IssueWarningQuota parameter set at?

  • Sorry about it. I'm not sure why I posted that on the wrong forum.

So we figured out why our customer was receiving these alerts even if his threshold was BelowLimit. We found that an other mailbox having an almost full status was forwarding all emails including <Exchange Server message> to his mailbox saying the mailbox was almost full ;)

    That was too easy.

    Thanks for your help.
