Lync 2010 Notification

    Question

  • How can a user set pop-up notification to be more obvious, last longer, pop in middle of screen and float to top?

  • Hello,

The current way Lync does the notification is about what there is, at least visually.

Your request is pretty common though. ;-)
Possiblities? a lync addon that does what you say. Currently i don't know of one.

You could audio wise, make the incoming IM sound a very nasty loud audio file. (Options | Ringtons and Sounds | Sound Settings | Programming Events= Incoming Instant Message.)

  • We have created a custom add on that makes sure that the notification appears and prevents your message from being missed.  It's been customized with a glowing border and it makes sure the popup remains until you either answer it or dismiss it. You can download it here: http://www.lyncnotifier.com
