Live Meeting - whiteboard not working "loading image"

    Question

  • Hello together,

I have deployed OCS 2007 R2 over windows server 2008 R2 Enterprise, and I am testing all the features.

I can use Communicator 2007 R2 without any problems internally and externally

I can use Live Meeting 2007 internally with no problem (all features e.g.: Whiteboard, Share Powerpoint presentation etc.) but the external (remote users) users can not use the Whiteboard features. The Live Meeting displayed message: Loading image...

can anybody help me to fix the problem??

Any help would be much appreciated!

  • Hello together,

I found the problem: on the Front-End server was "blank.png" file broken. (File for Whiteboard feature)

    (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2\Web Components\Data MCU Web\WWW\SlideFiles\Blank.png)

  • Handout downloads working fine on your scenario?

Would you check if certificate binding on the IIS server?

  • FatStas,

Have you deployed an ISA server or other reverse proxy to publish your Front End server?  Also, did you set your externalwebfarmfqdn during the initial install?

Please have a look at these:

  • from the isa server browse to the internal pool something like https://internalpoolname/conf/ext/tshoot.html

if you get a cert error browsing to that from the isa you need to reimport your root certificate. onto the local computer into the trust root cert authority store...

also can you upload docs without issue or is it just whiteboard

  • Hi Fatstas,

The whiteboard, like the address book service utilize the Front End servers IIS via the reverse proxy, not the edge server.  That is why we are asking questions about your reverse proxy.

Do you have an A record published for your external webfarm FQDN?  If so, please open a web browser from outside of your LAN, not on a VPN and go to:

    https://external.webfarm.fqdn/conf/ext/tshoot.html

For example, my companies web farm fqdn is abs.pcmsdatafit.com, so you can open https://abs.pcmsdatafit.com/conf/ext/tshoot.html and see the live meeting troubleshooting page.

Do you see that if you repleace "external.webfarm.fqdn" with the public name of your web farm?

    Hope this helps!
