How do I get the FedAuth and rtfa cookies for a user that is already logged in?

    Question

  • I have found several resources on how to get this when a username and password has been supplied and even found code for a windows 8 app, but I can't find anything on how to do this from a windows 7 machine.  The users are already logged into sharepoint online via ADFS, but are unable to map a network drive to their skydrive.  If I understand correctly I need to send the FedAuth and rtfa cookies with my request to map the drive.  I have no way of getting the username and password and like I said they are already logged in, so I have to believe there is a way to just get the cookies.  Unfortunately I haven't been able to figure that out.

Really I guess I have two questions...

    1. How can I get the cookies for the already logged in user?

    2. If I have to log in how can I do something similar to this, or even how should I modify this http://www.wictorwilen.se/Post/How-to-do-active-authentication-to-Office-365-and-SharePoint-Online.aspx so that I can pass it a network credential to get the saml token instead of a username and password?
