Rule to save attachment

    Question

  • I need to create a rule that will save an attachment to my desktop once the e-mail arrives. using the outlook rules I can set the allert for the person sending me the file, after that I'm lost on for to save the attachment.

    Any ideas?

  • Thank you, I think I now have a different issue. I am working off of an exchange server and company policy has disabled custom macros from being ran in outlook. Does anyone know if this setting would also effect the ability to run a script? I have set the rule to run a script when a specific e-mail comes in, I have even manually ran the rule yet it does not seem the save the attachments and I can't seem to set a break point in the script (code) to see if it is indeed working as it should.
