Office Proofing Tools 2010

    Question

  • Hi

    I am trying to create a package that will be deployed to our Windows 7 x64 clients.

    Our clients run Windows 7 Enterprise x64 (English language) but we need to have proofing tools installed to cover a few more languages than English, Spanish and French (which are the default spelling languages in our Office Professional Plus 2010).

    I am getting the wrong results though, it installs more languages than it should.

    Here is my config.xml:

    <Configuration Product="Proofkit">

     <Display Level="none" CompletionNotice="no" SuppressModal="yes" AcceptEula="yes" />

     <COMPANYNAME Value="STT Condigi" />

     <OptionState Id="ProofingTools_1030" State="Local" Children="force"/>
     <OptionState Id="ProofingTools_1031" State="Local" Children="force"/>
     <OptionState Id="ProofingTools_1035" State="Local" Children="force"/>
     <OptionState Id="ProofingTools_1044" State="Local" Children="force"/>
     <OptionState Id="ProofingTools_1053" State="Local" Children="force"/>
     <OptionState Id="ProofingTools_2068" State="Local" Children="force"/>

     <Setting Id="SETUP_REBOOT" Value="Never" />

    </Configuration>

    Any ideas?

    My command line is "setup.exe /config ProofKit.WW\config.xml

    Best regards

  • Hi,

    Thank you for using Microsoft Office for IT Professionals Forums.

    Base on the test, your config.xml file is proper. The languages were installed by the behavior of Proofing Tools Kit which install the languages match your IME. It might be by design.

    Thanks for your understanding.

    Sincerely

    Rex Zhang

  • Fredrik,

    What languages were you trying to install the proofing tools for? From your list you have:

    Danish, German, Finnish, Norwegian (bokmal), Swedish, Norwegian (Nynorsk)

    What extra proofing tools were installed?
