Outlook 2013 will not show Free/Busy time (Exchange server 2007)

    Question

  • We are using an Exchange server 2007 and a mixed environment of Office 2007-2013. Recently myself and 1 other person in the office on 2013 can no longer see the availability of other users when scheduling an appointment or meeting with them using scheduling assistant in Outlook 2013. I have tested and made sure that Auto discovery is working both by checking with Outlook test settings and also but looking at our DNS and configuration setting on our Exchange server.

I have checked Internet Explorer proxy settings, I have recreated profiles.. I cannot figure out why only these 2 users are having issues and no one else. I have even tried rebooting the server to make sure a service was not stuck..

Any ideas or help would be appreciated.

  • You're not the only one.

The issue is a Outlook 2013 connected to Exchange 2007 issue.  Microsoft knows about it and has no fix at this time.

The only known workaround is to uninstall:KB2837618 and or KB2837643 and to delete and recreate the outlook profile.

    FYI...KB2837643 automatically reinstalls KB2837618
