Excel 2010 in server 2003, it needs admin computer to install everyday

  • Hi there,

    we are using Microsoft office 2010 in window server 2003, in my computer, it is XP with office 2007.

    I can use office 2007 with no problem, but when I login server 2003, I can't use the excel only, it asks to install every day even the admin computer doesn't turn off.

    it needs my boss (admin) computer  or main server computer to install the excel every day.

    we tried to uninstall or repair it, but it doesn't work.

    please advise.

  • Hi,

    It is mostly caused by the multiple Office editions have been installed on the server. See the Multiple versions of Word section in the following article:

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2121447

    You can contact the server administrator to uninstall other Office editions, and then repair the Office 2010.
