Cannot download office 2010 because it is missing MSXML 6.10.1129.0

    Question

  • I recently purchased Microsoft Home Use 2010 - but when I try to download it it keeps telling me I need to install MSXML version 6.10.1129.0

when I try to download this version it says my computer is not supported by correct processor - what do I do now?

  • You don't mention what operating system you are using, but the error message just means you have to determine if you are running a 32 or 64 bit version of Windows and download/install the correct MSI file.

For example, if you are running Windows 7, you should be able to right click on Computer in the start menu and select properties.  That will bring up a window.  Right next to "system type" is a statement that will mention if you are running a 32 or 64 bit version of Windows.

  • It sounds like your trying to run it rather than save it to a location and THEN running it, therefore, you are having to download it again and again.  Either way I have struggled with this same error for a month or so and I finally found what the solution was for me.  Please check it out here -
