Activation error 0xC004C032

    Question

  • i have spent like eight hours trying to activate my office small and business 2010 having spoken to a number of people who have transferred the buck to the next person.

I bought the physical cd 2007 version first, with a sticker on the package promoting a free update to the the 2010 version when it is released.

I had a nightmare going through Digital river to activate this upgrade at the time in 2010.

Now i have reformatted my computer, contacted Microsoft who told me to contact Digital river, who have a voice message to contact Microsoft.

Now we do have a the Trade Practices act which have laws protected consumers against companies who do not fulfill their undertakings.

All I want is to activate this product so i can get on with my life.

What is bizarre is I have a my microsoft account which has a record of my microsoft purchases, and there is a download link to reinstall the software, when I do this, this is when the above error code occurs.

I advised the microsoft staff member of this, and he said he will send me a link to download the office image file, which I did, and the product key, associated with this product has not changed the installation from a trial version. Now the email I received said this is an automated email please do not reply.

    Frustrated

  • Hi,

Click Start, type cmd in search box, right click on the command prompt window and select ‘Run as administrator’

In the command box type the following:

    Cscript "%ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Office\Office14\ospp.vbs" /inpkey:<product key>

Note: Include the dashes in the product key

Open any Office 2010 application and try activating to check if it helps.

  • This command is not working at all. I'm using Windows 8 (x64), and I swapped %programfiles% to %programfiles(x86)% and also not working and I tried to type "C:\program files(x86)\ .... " and it's not working too. So, how could I end this issue?
