How to turn on "Quota Information" automatically?

Answers

  • no as i know , but there is a reg key you can deploy with GPO

Outlook 2010’s status bar presentation options reside in the registry, at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Outlook\StatusBar

    QuotaThermometer DWORD=1

  • hi,

You need to set mailbox store limits parameters in Exchange on a specific mailbox and then the outlook quota bar will work (individual and mailbox store) , please refer to this MS article:

  • Thanks, George.

But what I want is the "Quota Informaiton" to auto-appear. Usually, we need to select it when right-click status bar, right?

Is GPO able to do it?

  • Has anyone got this working? I've been trying without any joy. The key is correct, but I cant seem to get it working via group policy. I read somewhere briefly that HKCU keys cant be updated at logon because the hive won't be available. If the hive isn't available the policy will fail/not update/create. Also just to confirm this policy should be applied to a USER OU?

My environment is Exchange 2010, Outlook 2010, Server 2008 R2, and the client machines are Windows 7
