Office 2013 Pro Plus KMS Activation

    Question

  • I cannot get new Office 2013 clients to activate.  I've installed the Office 2013 KMS Host on a Windows 2008 R2 server that has been happily activating Windows 7 and Office 2010 for a few years.  I've entered the product key and activation key.  I've also installed the Update:

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2757817

    I've installed Office 2013 on at least 5 clients.  Here's a sample output from OPSS.VBS /dstatusall:

Microsoft (R) Windows Script Host Version 5.8

  • check your KMShost by using cscript slmgr.vbs /dli all

also check on your KMShost in the event log to see if the 12290 etc events are coming in from those clients

  • Run this on server (it check Office 2013 KMS Key status)

    slmgr.vbs /dli 2E28138A-847F-42BC-9752-61B03FFF33CD

And look for status and count:
