ExtensionHardening in Excel 2010 - Changes Do Not Replicate to All Users

    Question

  • Folks!

    The below fix works great when the change is done on the current user (accessing the PC).

    How this REG be applied to ALL USERS?

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Excel\Security]
    "AccessVBOM"=dword:00000001
    "ExtensionHardening"=dword:00000000

    This is corporate machine where users cannot change registries. We can run REGEDIT as Admin and make change to Current_User, but this does not expand to All Users.

    Please please....Help!

  • Hi,

    I have a workaround for you.

    We can try to write some code to apply the REG when the Excel starts.
