Since you have a volume licensed version of Office (and that is the only way Office Standard is sold legally is through a volume license agreement) you need to contact either your IT department at your place of employment or through the specific support number that your IT department should have received upon purchase of the licensing agreement.  They are best able to help you fix your licensing issue.

Office Standard (with keys) is also available to anyone with a Technet subscription.  Given this is a "technet" forum, I think it is quite reasonable for the person to ask their question here.   I might not have an answer to their question but I also would not just direct them someplace else....

  • I have seen this issue three times (three different users).  Each time I tried to run a repair, and tried reinstalling the license key http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2465140/en-us

    It never worked.

Every time I have had to uninstall Office, reboot, and reinstall it again in order to get it working.
