PowerPoint 2010 question

    Question

  • I am trying to find out if there is a way to create a jigsaw puzzle in PowerPoint 2010 out of a picture and have each piece individually show on a mouse click until the puzzle is completed. I don't see a way to do it unless I buy 3rd party software. Does anyone know if this is possible in PowerPoint 2010? Can anyone suggest other software that might do this that can be inserted into a PowerPoint presentation.

    Thank you.

Thank you for using Microsoft Office for IT Professionals Forums.

Base on the test, you can download a free puzzle framework from the following web site, then create the jigsaw puzzle with the guidance:

After you create it, you can add the animations to all parts of the jigsaw puzzle individually.

  • Hello,

I saw your question and was intrigued so I tried it out myself. Using the link provided by the other answer here, I took that and built upon it. The other tutorial (http://www.indezine.com/products/powerpoint/cool/puzzlepictures.html) didn't specify how to make each piece come in one-by-one, as you requested, so I elaborated to explain how to do that. You can check out the step-by-step here:

    http://iconlogic.blogs.com/weblog/2012/03/powerpoint-2007-2010-how-to-turn-an-image-into-an-animated-puzzle.html

I will be adding to the post next week tips for making the puzzle pieces appear more realistic.
