Outlook 2013 Categories

    Question

  • I've have recently upgraded our Office 2013 from the various versions of Office and I am now receiving several complaints about Outlook 2013 categories. The main issue is that it is no longer possible to see the actual category colour next to the email.. only the text.

    I have been unable to find a way to change this!! Anyone know how?

    This is with the reading pane set to bottom or off.

    Do you mean there is no problem if the reading pane is set to right?

    Please refer to the following steps to troubleshoot this issue:

    1. In Outlook 2013 client, right click on your email address, and click Data File Properties.

    2. Click Upgrade to Color Categories.

    After that, please chect this issue again.

    In addition, please go to Home > Categorize > All Categories... and check the Color Category settings, if there are something wrong? (Wrong color or wrong color name).
