Install office professional 2010 plus error 1304,1334

    Question

  • I am trying to install office professional 2010 plus (non beta).  Toward the end of the installation I get an error message 1304  of an error writing to file and to verify access to that directory.  I retried and got a second error 1334 that file ACC12PL.DLL can not be installed because this file was not found in the cabinet file ProPrWW.CAB.  I am running xp pro sp3 and office 2007 was in place at the time of the attempted install.  It was treating as an upgrade install.

  • Hi Ken,

    Do you have the full install of Office 2010 available? That would be the best bet. 

    Uninstall Office 2007 and Office 2010 by using the appropriate Fixit tools at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301. Then re-boot and install Office 2010.

    If you have only the in-place upgrade version of Office 2010, then re-boot, re-install Office 2007, re-boot, and re-install the Office 2010 upgrade.
