We have a 23-page document that has multi-level numbering, table of contents and "exhibits". Currently, when we print this document to any printer (4 different models and 6 different print drivers tried, including to PDF) random words throughout the
document, always against the right margin, DO NOT PRINT! If I remove all formatting, the "missing" words will print just fine. They show in print preview and have the same style applied to them as the surrounding words. We've tried printing
it from Word 2003, 2007 and 2010. There is one computer that seems to be able to print it but we cannot identify any difference between it and one that cannot print it correctly.
We're at a loss as to where to go from here and our confidence in the accuracy of our printed output has taken a hit. How can we identify what is causing the problem so that we're sure we don't have it occur in the future?
