Visio 2010 Crashing

    Question

  • Hi,

As has been mentioned by other users on this forum, Visio 2010 crashes when there is a 'Send to Bluetooth' add-in enabled. Please could you raise this as a bug as it is not acceptable just to remove the add-in.

This also doesn't always solve the copy/paste problem so it is most likely related to the problem but something else is causing it.

    Thanks,
    Martin

  • Sometime Add-ins interferes with core functionality of application. This is not a bug with Visio. Bluetooth Add-in is causing issue with Visio.
Best way to handle is to disable the Add-in. Is there any reason why it is not acceptable solution?

Also what is the issue you are facing with Copy/Paste?

I also found some other customers experienced the same issue in Visio 2010, and the issue was resolved by disabling or uninstall the Bluetooth add-in.

We will perform more research about this issue, and will reply soon.

  • I finally fixed the problem by going to the C drive under programs and program files and deletedProgram Files\WIDCOMM\Bluetooth Software\SYSWOW64\BTSendTo_Office.dll.

Work like a churm now and doesn't reinstall the add in everytime.
