Unknown Error when deleting or filing email

    Question

  • since upgrading our exchange environment to 2010 multiple users have reported issue. the most common issue is that users receive an unknown error pop up message when they are trying to file or delete an email. The emails are gone if the user restarts outlook. We are also experiencing problems with modifying distribution lists. Users who are listed as owners get an error saying they have insufficent priviliges when trying to make amendments. 

    Any assistance on these matters would be greatly appreciated.

    Post the question in Exchange Server forum.

    If Global Domain Controller or Global Catalog server or the DNS server is facing any issue. you will experience the Owner not able to modify the DL in which user is having owner permission.

    The exchange 2010 should look at proper GC and registered with DNS
