Microsoft Outlook 2013 disconnected problem

    Question

  • My Outlook program was working just fine till last Wednesday. I am not receiving any of my mail because it say I am disconnected, but my internet works just fine and I can obviously connect to the web just fine. I don't know how to fix this and need help. Thanks.

  • Could you please detail the type of email account you are using, POP3, IMAP, hotmail or Exchange? Have you received the any messages when press F9 to send/receive the message?

    Per your post, when Outlook disconnects to the server, the networks still works and you may send the message through Web-based access successfully? If so, we need to continue to troubleshoot the issue from client site, please try the following steps:

    1. Check if Outlook runs in Work offline mode: Send/Receive Tab > Work offline.

    2. Temporary to turn off the anti-virus/firewall to check the result.

    3. Start Outlook in safe mode and disable the add-ins if the issue would be gone in safe mode. "Outlook.exe /safe"

    4. Create a new Outlook profile to test the behavior totally.

    Other information for your reference.

    If you are a Office 365 user or Outlook connects Exchange server via Outlook anywhere, Perform an Outlook anywhere testing with the Remote Connectivity Anylyzer for the affected users.
