Moving Outlook to A New Machine

    Question

  • We have a user that recently changed laptops. What is the best way to move an Outlook 2007 profile (Win XP) to an Outlook 2010 (Win 7) machine, and save as many settings as possible? The user has a big mailbox so synchronizing it again to the cloud (BPOS) server may take a long time.

  • Hi,

Your customer want to move an Outlook 2007 profile (Windows XP) to an Outlook 2010 (Windows 7).

you can refer to the section “How to transfer Outlook data from one computer to another computer” in this KB article:

Note: The steps for Outlook 2010 are similar.
