Microsoft Outlook Hotmail Connector

    Question

  • We are installing this connector by default on our machines, so the people have the ability to add a live/hotmail/outlook.com account to their outlook 2010.

    On first start up, it is asking "Would you Like to add an hotmail account", which is a small wizard. Is it possible to disable this wizard through a gpo or registry key?

  • This is by design. When you install Hotmail connector for Outlook and there is no hotmail account in your default profile, the wizard would pop-up. There is no gpo or registry key to disable it.

    For workaround, we may disable the Hotmail connector add-ins through gpo or registry key. Users may enable it if they really want to use it. Thanks.
