I was test running project Server 2010 that i deployed recently. I am using the test cases prepared by microsoft itself. It says i should be able to create a timesheet in My work >> Timesheet link but i dont see a create button in timesheets. what should i do?
Are you using the project server with single entry mode? Might be useful to look at the msdn blog:

The first thing you’ll notice is that we’ve moved the old “Timesheet Center” down to “Manage Timesheets”, so when you navigate to the Timesheet page we’ll create/load the timesheet for the period for the current date, allowing you to get in and out with a minimum of clicks.

In non SEM mode, by default there is no 'Create Timesheet' button in the My Work > Timesheets, only a period selector that allows you to choose from the predefined timesheet periods. The screen should default to the current timesheet period based on the current date. You can also override this with either the next / previous period buttons, or entering a date through the select period.
