A task with multiple assignments

    Question

  • Hi,

I wonder if you can help me to handle a task with multiple assignments. Lets say that I've created a task and assigned 3 resources. One of the resources has left a group but I don't want to delete an assignment. I need to keep its posted work which he posted on the same week he left (I need this info for the indicators).

And if I delete an assignment then I'm loosing this posting.

My question is: is there any way do not publish this assignment to My task page for that particular user, when the whole task is still relevant for others?

Today, I change its actual finish and set rem.work=0 but still see it on my tasks page after publish.

    Thanks

  • There's a Publish field, but that is for whole tasks only, so you could set it to No once the task is complete.

  • Yelena, the classic way to do this is for the project managers to set remaining work for that assignment to 0, then publish the project. The resource can choose to display completed assignments - or not - by selecting show all assignments - or show only current assignments.
