In December we were scheduled for transition. So I prepared our users and changed everyones password in BPOS. We were all ready to go and waited thru the weekend. The Administration Center was locked and everything. Then suddenly Monday the Admin center was unlocked and nothing ever transitioned. I contacted MS and they said they cancelled the transition due to a scheduling mistake and they would reschedule. I was quite annoyed because we were all prepared to start using it that Monday. They told me the transition would probably take place sometime in January. So I waited for the scheduling email which never came. Now suddenly this morning I got an email saying the transition had begun. Never got a email warning that it was scheduled. I am quite angry about this.

My most important question is will I have to reset everyones BPOS password again since I already did it just before the first scheduled transition that was cancelled in December? Also can someone please tell me why no notification about the scheduling was sent to us? I can't even submit this as a service request because the Admin Center is locked. I need an answer on all this ASAP.

Hi Adam, sounds like you received your answer, but hoping to address a couple of your questions so others can understand the questions and process:

Question:  My most important question is will I have to reset everyone's BPOS password again since I already did it just before the first scheduled transition that was cancelled in December?

Answer: Every BPOS user, end user or admin, MUST change their password at least once before going through the Transition process.  This is because once the password is changed, it is synchronized into O365 and will be there when the BPOS company and users go through the Transition Weekend.  So on Monday the user will sign into O365 with their BPOS credentials.  They aren't really BPOS credentials they are just the synchronized credentials that are now used in 365.

Note -Any time a user changes their BPOS password it will be synchronized.  So if they changed their password in December but are not scheduled to Transition, users don't need to change it again, unless they want to.  That change will be synched into 365, so whatever credentials are used in BPOS will be ready for use in 365!
