Hi Tim,
A few other things to consider in your backup/recovery process that are not included in the SCCM Site maintenance backup task:
- Backup up the system state of your primary site servers.
- Backup your package source directory that includes all your application source files, software updates, etc.
Do you have a child primary site? Depending on your SLA's around recovery, you might want to also consider a reference site so that any changes made from the last backup can be pulled from the child primary site.
The other thing to consider is around backup and recovery of the WSUS database itself. I typically don't see any point in backing this up since WSUS is being used for metadata and catalog sychronization.
