    Hello,

I use Exchange 2007 with win server 2003. I have an accepted domain that we will probably delete at some stage, let's call it company2.com :

    Name DomainName DomainType Default
    company2.com company2.com Authoritative FALSE

Until then, I would like to reduce as much as possible the spam received on that accepted domain. In fact, I ONLY have 4 accountsthat have a SMTP address as company2.com ( which are distrubution lists )!

I track the mails received for those 4 account and got some but nothing compare with the amont of spam I receive everyday:

    hi,

Since you have met the anti-spam, i think first you should enable Anti-Spam functionality on a Hub Transport Server. This can hlep you reduce the spam.

And can you tell me more about your issue.

About how to enable Anti-Spam Functionality on a Hub Transport Server:http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb201691(EXCHG.80).aspx

    hope can help you

As CastinLu has described install the Anti-Spam functionality on your Hub Transport Servers if you do not have any Edge Transport Servers.

Once this is done you can enable Sender ID, which will drop and not accept any messages for "company2.com" unless it is for the email addresses assigned to your 4 distribution lists.

We await more information if there is any to provide.

Yikes... If you're getting pummeled that badly, you might want to consider a managed spam/virus protection service.  It'll take a heavy load off your HT server.  I recommend NSI to my clients... www.nsicanada.com ... I've gotten numerous compliments for recommending them, no not kickbacks.  Haha.  Their catch rate is very high, something like 99%, and they can manually deliver any false positives.

Thanks to all. I have 2 Edges and 2 Hubcas. I do not have the Anti-Spam funcionality on the HubCas and we'll think about activating it!

In fact, I would like to know if there is any way only to accept mails for those 4 accounts and maybe delete the accepted domain. Once the accepted domain is deleted I don't know if we can create a sort of filter..

    Thanks,

    Graig

    Hi,

    Setup Recipient Filtering.
