am using the SCVMM Admin Console to connect to the Hyper-V Server. When I enter the Server name: ddcsrv001:8100 or IP:8100 , I get the error ID: 1602 - "Unable to connect to the Virtual Machine Manager server. The Virtual Machine Manager Service did not respond." I can ping the HYPERVSRV Server but unable to open the scvmm console alone, also the Virtual Machine Manager service gets stopped automatically.
Any suggestions would be great.

I'm not sure how fimilar you are with VMM. But we install the VMM server and also the Admin Console. The Admin Console can also be installed on other servers or workstations running a supported operating system. And then be used to connect remotely to the VMM server.
The next step would be to add in virtualization servers from your enterprise as managed hosts in the VMM console. There is a wizard to walk you through this process. Then once the host has been brought under management, you can then view it and any VMs that are on it through the VMM admin console.
The VMM Administrators Console must be connected to the server running VMM. Is the Hyper-v server that you're trying to connect to also the VMM server? If not, try connecting the Admin Console to the VMM server instead.
