your copy of windows will expire in 0 hours
- i keep getting a pop up saying "your copy of windows will expire in 0 hours" and randomly shuts down. this is a legit copy of 7 RC and it is activvated. any ideas? i apologise if this has been asked before. i did a search first however there was an insane amount of hits and after 12 pages i gave up..lol

RC is build 7100. Do as Sanmartin suggests above.

- Are You sure the system date of Your PC is correct
and not somewhere after Jun 1 2010? - yep/ 7/4/2009
- Maybe you have remnants of a prior 7 Beta installation on your disk? That one is about to expire.
Mobile AMD64 3000+, VIA Apollo K8T800 chipset, 1 G RAM, ATIRadeonMobility 9700, 20x DVDRW, C:XPSP3 (55G),D:WIN7 (25G),F:DATA (250G) - nope clean install on a new HD. i am so puzzled.
- Well, assuming (1) you downloaded your copy from Microsoft, (2) we're talking about the same version (6.1.7100), (3) all of your important system files (f.e. \windows\system32\cmd.exe) show the date 04/22/2009, and the problem remains, I would download the RC again and reinstall it again, reformatting the whole drive in the process. If one of the points isn't the case, I would do just the same thing.
