"download stuff"= what stuff? andwhat did he remove? what exactly have you tried? most laptops have a recoverypartition or option to restore to out of box condition which formats thatmachine and starts fresh. On Wed, 4 Jul 2012 21:14:58 +0000, yamaha69 wrote:>>>netflix not showing up in windows meida center>>>>hi>>i have tried to reset windows and windows dont show up and i cant find any way to reinstall or reboot it i have tried many liking that have worked for others but not me i let a friend use my lap top and he tried to downlad stuff and then tried removing it and it was gon after that IS THERE ANY WAY TO GET IT BACK??????

Welcome to Microsoft Answers Forum!
Do you have Silverlight installed?
You can try the below steps to fix the issue you are experiencing:
1. Open Media Center, choose Settings, General, Automatic Download Options, and ensure that the 'Download when connected' is enabled. The Netflix tile will appear after the next Media Center Guide download time has passed.
2. Open Media Center, choose Settings, General, Automatic Download Options, and select the Download Now button at the bottom. It may take some time depending on your connection speed.
After the Netflix tile appears within Media Center, you will have to install the Netflix application.
3. Try this direct link for the Netflix software add-on for Media Center.
Note: Using Third Party Software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from booting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting from the use of Third Party Software can be solved. Using Third Party Software is at your own risk.
I hope the above information helps you
and
I suggest resetting Windows Media Center and try to reinstall it again.
1. Open Control Panel/Programs and Features.
2. Click "Turn Windows features on or off" in the left pane.
3. Expand "Media Features", uncheck "Windows Media Center". Click "Yes" to continue, and click OK to quit. Then Restart.
4. Open "Turn Windows features on or off" again. Turn on the features "Windows Media Player" and "Windows Media Center". Restart.
Please also remove the Netflix program:
1. Click the Start Button, type APPWIZ.CPL in the Start Search and press Enter.
2. If Netflix is listed, high light and click Uninstall.
After that, please enter Clean Boot mode and then try to install Netflix again.

sábado, 7 de julho de 2012 10:43what anti virus products are you running? you should only be running ONE. whatdoes "i have a notfication bar that tells me the safty and askes if i wat tocontinue" mean? what program is notifying you? windows? one of these three AVprograms? I also do not understand what you mean by "and askes if i wat tocontinue so i feel its not that i feel he removed something for it????? " Youstated you did a factory reset. was this a format and did this other person useyour computer after you did that?look, you admit you got a "ton" of viruses from bit torrent activities. you needto do a recovery to out of box conditions using the manufacturers recoverypartition or DVD (which should format your hard drive). then do all the windowsupdates. Install Microsoft Security Essentials. do not let this other person useyour computer.Once you have done this, run Media Center setup. Make sure Windows is Activated(please confirm) and that your time zone and clock are correct. Let us know whenyou have done all of this.On Fri, 6 Jul 2012 16:17:14 +0000, yamaha69 wrote:> i have 3 anti viruses running and i have a notfication bar that tells me the safty and askes if i wat to continue so i feel its not that i feel he removed something for it?????
