What is the problem? Explorer didn't open?

If the machine has started up hit Ctrl+Alt+Del , go to task manager-->File--> New Task (Run) and enter explorer.exe. It should launch. Then do a reboot and see if the issue persists. If it does check your Event Viewer logs for clues

    Hi,

Can you post a specific errors when your problem happen. Anyway, if you want to repair you windows explore you can using Sfc /scannow.

    You can do like this:

1.Click Start, and then type cmd in the Start Search box.

2.In the results area, right-click cmd.exe, and then click Run as administrator. You will be prompted to type the password for an administrator account. Click Continue if you are the administrator or type the administrator password. Then, click Continue.

3.At the command prompt, type Sfc /scannow, and then press ENTER.

The scan may take some time, so be patient. Windows will repair any corrupted or missing files that it finds. If information from the installation CD is needed to repair the problem, you may be prompted to insert your Windows 7 CD.

It would be useful having more detailed informations about your Windows Explorer's problems.

The first step you could take is performing an integrity check of the system files: open a command prompt window and run the command

    sfc /scannow

You may be prompet for the Windows 7 installation disc. Wait for the end and restart the system.
If the system files are seriously compromised, you could try performing a repair installation: read how to do that at http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/3413-repair-install.html.

    Bye.
