    Hello,
I bought CA's Internet Security Suite for some other computers and I got a total of 3 license keys.  I installed it on two other comps, now I want to use the last key on my Win7 comp (brand new homebuilt).  I can't get it to install.  The program tells me that I don't meet the system requirements.  I'm running the 64bit version of win7.  I've tried installing the 64 bit version and the 32 bit version of the program and always get that error message.  I've seen people say that it supposedly works, though the companies website doesn't mention that it supports Win7 yet.  Anyone know how to get it installed?  I really like their software and since I already paid for that 3rd key, I'd like to use it and not have to buy some other companies stuff...

    Proton8d,

I too have CA's security suite and could not make it work. I hunted around CA's website until I found customer support with search query. I entered "Windows 7 Support" and the response I received was "CA products do not support Windows 7 Beta" I realize it said "Beta" but I'm expecting that CA is not going to support Windows 7 until sometime closer to its release. In the meantime I've installed Avast! Anti-virus (the Freeware version) and it has been working fine. Another option you might consider is the Beta version of Microsoft Security Essentials, its supposed to be available for download on Tuesday June 23rd. It is free anti-malware from Microsoft. The only requirement to it being free is that your copy of Windows is a "Genuine" copy.

Okay.  Thanks for the response.  I actually have Avast installed right now.  lol
I was really hoping to get the firewall from CA up and running b/c I HATE the Vista Firewall Control or whatever it's called that I installed (at someone's recommendation on a different site).  I really liked the CA firewall and it seemed "smarter" than the firewall window's runs.  I guess the person that posted saying he had CA up and running on the other forum must have used an earlier copy of Win7 or something or just got really lucky???

    Proton8d,

Not to beat a dead horse, but I had a live chat session today with CA customer support. He told me that they are working on the CA AV 2010 version which will include support for windows 7. He also told me that there will be a beta release of the 2010 version available for download but he didn't give me a time frame, he only would tell me to keep checking the CA website for it...

    jpl327,

Thanks for the info!  I'm actually glad to hear that.  The chat sessions I've had with them in the past never really got me anywhere (even the one concerning a bad license key they issued me in the 3 pack).  I'll definitely keep checking on it and I'll hope that the download will be free b/c I didn't buy the extended download time (which is absolutely absurd that you can buy the licenses but you only have a 30 day window to download the product).

    Huskey48,

I tried installing the 90 day trial of ca internet security only to be met by the following message generated by the ca installation software:

"Error: The operating system currently running on your computer does not meet the minimum system requirements for the product(s) you are trying to install.

Please check the system requirements for this product. (9009)"

Can you be more descriptive in how you got it to work?
