Folder Redirection - Permissions Issues

Hi,
I have a Server 2012 and Win 8 domain running in my lab environment. Folder redirection is working well except for the following niggle.
I have set this up using the defaults when configuring the GP but when I log in as a user who has this policy applied I can not save .exe files from IE either to the desktop or any of the redirect folders e.g. My Docs, Downloads, Music etc....
I also frequently get prompted for UAC when deleting files from the desktop.
I was hoping someone could help narrow down what might be causing this issue.
Many thanks,
Tony

Please have a look at this similar thread http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7itprogeneral/thread/a0ead863-f945-4f1e-a1fe-3a51e1b5953a
>>>To disable/off UAC(User Access Control) pop-up we have two steps.
1. Conventional method:Windows+R--->msconfig--->Tools> select Change UAC settings>launch>scroll down the button to ‘never notify’2. Using group policy settings.Computer Configuration>Windows Settings>Security Settings>Local Policies>Security Options and configure the settings accordingly.

Thanks for the reply Ravikumar - I think (and I could be wrong here) that it is more to do with the NTFS permissions. I guess what I am after is Folder Redirection best practice for Server 2012 and Win7/8 clients. I will look at the Computer Configuration group policy though definitely.

Hi Tony,
Please test:
1. Download EXE file from IE to local disk. (I assume it will work)
2. Save a EXE file on local disk to Desktop/My Documents etc. (I assume it will fail)
If the issue only occurs when saving EXE files to redirected folders, which means the issue occurs when saving EXE files to a network folder on your Windows Server 2012. So you will need to check related settings such as file screening.

Thanks for your help guys - Shaon was correct. It was the Smartscreen Filter. Disabling this allows me to save exe's without issue to the redirected folders (including desktop).
