Windows XP Installation using Windows 2008 Deployment Services
- I've been searching for a solution where I can configure a server to host all the setup files, PXE start my PC and do Windows XP installation. I dont want imaging, sophistication, complication, etc... pure OS installation nothing else. Could someone please lead me to a place where I can learn to do just this? or someone kind enough to tell me how to do it?
I can also setup windows 2003 server if you prefer.

I think this site gives you a myriad of options on how to deploy Windows XP:

One of the methods is RIS - Remote installation services - and here is a page on how to set that up for Windows 2000 (the steps were pretty much the same with 2003 - only there was a great deal more driver support).
Here is the link (there is a step by step link on this page) for the Windows Deployment Services for Windows Server 2008:

This should also allow you to deploy Windows XP in the way you are looking ot do.

I've been able to complete the installation of XP successfully.
But how can I avoid Lite Touch Installation asking me for domain credentials to connect to the share?
