    Hello

     

    is there a way to only journal external incoming and outgoing email in exchange 2003, without using an expensive third party product. I dont want to journal any internal emails.

    In Exchange 2003, you would need to use a 3rd party product or write your own event sink. Exchange 2007 enables you to do exactly this: journal only messages sent to and from external recipients and senders. You can also journal internal only, or both internal and external.

    Sound very complicated is there any documentation on writing your own sink events.

     

    I really dont want to use any third party software. Its too expensive.
