Răspuns propus Information Rights Management on iPhone or Android

If I install Information Rights Management (IRM) on my Exchange 2010 environment will iPhone and Android users still be able to sync their email, calendar, and contacts except for IRM protected messages or does IRM eliminate any syncing at all with non ActiveSync 14.1 devices?

We want to use IRM to only protect highly confidential messages but not everyday messages. For confidental messages users can use OWA or send or read messages from their desktop. Is IRM all or nothing?

If anyone has first hand knowledge it would be much appreciated.

    Thanks . . .

IRM should only affect the user's ability to open messages to which IRM is applied.

    Hi Doppel1,

You can enable IRM in Activesync.

    Ed,

    Thank you for your reply.

Have you or any of your customers environments used IRM and seen how this works on mobile devices, I need to be sure before we make any serious investments.

    Thanks.

    Doppel1,

There is a third party product from Secure Islands that supports IRM protected emails and attachments on mobile devices such as Android, BB, and, iOS (iPad, IPhone)

    Thanks,
