Hi,
Microsoft has a PowerShell script, found at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2292741 that I’ve used to download the current Forefront AV updates. I moved the updates to another system, copied them to a server, and used UNC to point to the copied location. It works fine once I figured out how to use PowerShell.
There was no issues using the 64-bit version of PowerShell but I did have an issue trying to get the 32-bit version of PowerShell to work on a XP PC. I finally got it to work with both 32-bit and 64-bit using Win7. I think it was an access or permissions issue.
