So I am sure the answer to this problem is that I have a defective disk, even though I have never heard of that. I got vista ultimate from amazon. It came with the 32bit and 64bit. I put the 64 bit in and try to boot my computer from it and I didn't get a response. My computer acted as if there wasn't and boot option. So I restarted my PC and put the disk in while windows was running and it doesn't recognize that there is a disk in the dvd drive. It either says "please insert disk" or "no media found".
I can't find a download for vista ultimate 64bit any where, even check some of those shady sites. Amazon won't exchange open software so I am kind of stuck here.

If it’s a genuine disk, it’s more likely that your DVD reader is broken (it *is* a DVD drive, isn’t it?), than that it’s a bad disk.
