    The windows upate fails each time it trys to update the MS powerpoint fix KB2596764 and I have been unable to determine the reason.  I have MS Office 2010 installed and Windows 7.  Any ideas?

    Same here, but without SM Office 2010 installed.

    Ìf SM Office 2010 ìs installed. I believe removing Microsoft Office 2007 Primary Interop Assemblies with the 'Software' option would help. Sadly, something like that is not present on my laptop..
