Lync Mobile without edge?

Is it possible to run Lync mobile clients if we have a DMZ with a reverse proxy, but without deploying a Lync Edge server?
(We already have a working Enterprise Edition Lync system with Enterprise Voice and a route out to PSTN.)

Hi,
I believe that's possible.Lync edge server is used only for Pushnotification Service.

Lync Mobile doesn't use Edge in any way (it's all reverse proxy) so it should be fine. Haven't personally tested it though.

Hi,Kressmark,
Yes,as they said it's possible. You can read through this old thread below
However,it's not a recommended way, since it's not tested by Microsoft maybe you will hit the unsupported criteria, and if you have any further issue you should take the risk by yourself.
