Performing Administrative Tasks in a Lync Shared Desktop Session

Hello All,
Please see a couple of posts from an Office 365 community:
Hello,
I'm having a similar problem. I've implemented the suggested UAC settings and indeed that improved. I don't have the Session Paused screen appearing anymore.
Now when I'm taking over a session through link and do "Run As" I see the UAC prompt but I can't type the username and password.
Before changing the suggested settings, I had the same problem during a Remote Assistance session, now the problem doesn't exist anymore within a remote assistance session, but as explained during a Lync Share Desktop session I see the prompt but can't type in the credentials.
Thanks for any assistance

Hello Mathieup,Regarding your issue, it is by design that you cannot do things as a remote user that UAC would kick in for during control of a desktop sharing session. This is a feature built into the Lync client for the safety and security of the users.
If you would like a workaround for this issue, please file a service request for a feature request with Office 365 support in your Microsoft Online Portal.
Thank you,
Hao Nguyen

I'm experiencing the same issue above and would like to know if there is a fix within Lync client or on Lync server, which will allow me to type in my admin credentials while screen sharing via Lync, into an elevated prompt. I've gotten the Local Security Policy settings down, so now I can see the prompt, rather than the screen sharing changing to the Paused symbol, however like I said, now that I can see the prompt to enter credentials, I'm unable to type anything. We're running Windows 7 Enterprise, 64 bit version, with Lync 2010 and Office 2010 (32bit version).
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

No, because Lync Desktop sharing works as designed and this will not be implemented.regards Holger Technical Specialist UC
