We are implementing the SC 2012 private cloud now as we have different portals like service manager, self service and Appcontroller portals for usage however , do they have workflow between them like user can access one portal and move to others or we have to create one parent site if required.

First of all - don`t spend a single second on the self service portal that ships with VMM 2012. You should consider AppController as the replacement for this one, and as the primary self service portal.

Service Manager combines several SC components together with Orchestrator, SCOM, and VMM to deliver infrastructure as a service. You can create offerings and provide them through the self service portal. This one is relevant if you need a better control and confirmation process regarding the provisioning of your resourcers, and AppController is more like an on-demand solution that also let you manage your services in private and public cloud (azure).

For service manager, you`d also consider the cloud service process pack in your implementation, to have a scenario based implementation in your researching. I`ve blogged about this at http://kristiannese.blogspot.com but I don`t have the links handy since I`m typing from my mobile phone atm.

Hi. Sorry, I didn't see this reply. But please try again with the new CSSP which is released this week.

Some good and improved features there, for a more simplified experience and implementation.

    cheers,
