Answered SPD view not available in browser or SPD views list?

    I created a view with SPD and made some simple changes and saved it. Then I went to IE and the new view is not available in the dropdown. I then went back to SPD and opened the list and uknder the Views section the new view is not their either.

    I went the the WEBDAV folder on the SP server and the new view is there along with a few others that I deleted from the browser several days ago. If I manually type the URL in to the browser it opens fine.

    Any idea why its not available in the both views lists (IE & SPD) and can this be corrected or do I need to delete it and start over?

    Hi ,

    What kind of changes do you make to the view ?How about create a view in browser ,will the view show up correctly ?

    In the WEBDAV folder ,you should delete the views which you have deleted in browser .Then have a test whether the newly created view will show up in the View Selection .Here are some List view lookup thresholds ,you should check whether your view have exceeded this thresholds .

    Thanks for the reply Entan.

    I think I may have figured this out, after creating a new view in SPD, I had removed the WebPartPages:XsltListView... and then inserted a DV in the page. Everything was working it just didn't show up in the Views list.
