    Hello team,

    Every time I run the wizard, I receive this error message. Does anyone know why? I have tried local admin, domain admin, etc. Thanks so much!

    On which computer you are running the wizard and what version/build is currently installed?

    It looks like you are using the 32bit CU3 (SCSM2010SP1_CU_KB2588492_i386_7.0.6555.128_EN.exe).

    If you want to Update a SCSM 2010 Server you need the 64bit Version of the CU (....AMD64....).

    Also it looks like you are trying to install the SCSM 2010 CU3 (SCSM2010_RTM_X86_KB2390520, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2390520) for SCM 2010 (without SP1). The latest CU is the SCSM 2010 SP1 CU3: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2588492/en-us

    Hi Andreas,

    Thanks for replying and sorry for the delay in mine.

    It's a Intel chip, SCSM 2010 sp1, and again directly on SCSM sever. Here is the log, which is the same error

    The download source looks good.

    And you need to install the file SCSM2010SP1_CU_KB2588492_AMD64_7.0.6555.128.exe. That's the right file for 64bit Intel CPUs of your SCSM server.

    I am a little confuswed about this SCSM2010_RTM_X86_KB2390520.msp file name in the log. Because that looks like it's the SCSM 2010 CU3 (SCSM 2010 without SP1).

    I updated the SP1 to  6555 and then installed CU-3 and it worked.

    btw - my current version is 7.0.5826.886, which stands for Cumulative Update 3 for System Center Service Manager 2010 according to http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/4226.list-of-build-numbers-for-system-center-service-manager.aspx

    Of course, I know. But I was not able to find any download link for the SP1 only (all I was able to get is an scsm installation incl. sp1)

    That's the download you need. This download can be used as new installation but also as an update for an existing SCSM 2010 installation.
