This problem started after I upgraded from Windows 7 Beta to Windows 7 RC1.
When I used Windows 7 beta on my desktop, the wireless (WUSB54-G) worked fine, but I have to make some manual changes to get the wireless to work. But now, despite downloading different drivers that many claimed to work when I looked through the forums, the wireless doesn't even install, Windows just recognised it as "Wireless-G USB Network Adapter" under other devices, not even under network adapter (Check attached image for more information).
http://img9.imageshack.us/img9/876/newbitmapimagec.jpgHere's a list of drivers I tried
Linksys WUSB54-G from the given disc that came with the product.
Linksys WUSB54-G from the internet i downloaded, transferring the files form this laptop to my desktop.
RaLink 2500 (or something like that)
All of these doesn't help at all, when i manually tried to find the driver files using the device manager>update driver software, Windows doesn't recognise the drivers.
I'm using my laptop to find a solution to this problem, there is no way I could use the internet to connect to microsoft updates to help me download the drivers from microsoft using my desktop.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
