    Is there any chance we'd get desktop composition with the Classic windows theme? I prefer that theme to just about every other skin available on the internet, mainly due to it's ability to set every colour (my preferred colour scheme is light text on dark background in green tones, and so far I haven't seen any theme that would be as uncluttered as the classic Windows style with changed colours).

    Windows 7 has the classic theme built-in.
    It's the second one in the Ease of Access category.

    You can change all the colors by clicking the Windows Color button.

    I know that, but classic theme disables desktop composition.

    By desktop composition, do you mean the 3d features, like minimize/maximize effects, Flip, and Flip3d? (I'm taking your word that they're not there, no W7 access at work)

    That would be a great addition, though I would imagine the reasoning behind their omittance would be that they weren't there when "Windows Classic" was... well, "Windows".

    It would be nice to have such an option, though.

    I don't actually care about the 3D effects (I normally work with transitions disabled), what I care about is the no need for redraw that desktop composition causes - the classic theme is noticeably slower to redraw compared to XP running on the same machine.
