Antivirus Exclusions on SCMDM Servers
- Hi there Guys,
Is there any document or article on the internet outlining what to exclude when installing 3rd paty antivirus software on SCMDM servers? Including SCMDM gaateway server as well as enrollment and device management server?

- From a security stand point don't exclude anything !
For a speed perspective you could run :
dir "C:\Program Files\Microsoft System Center Mobile Device Manager" /s /b |exclude.txt
to generate a list of MDM files. You could build yourself a list of files to exclude. It depends on your AV, some allow exclusion of folders some require extension filters.
I recommend not to exclude anything.

- Hi Ras, I have not seen any issues with AntiVirus solutions on the various SCMDM server roles. All the data is stored in SQL so not much file activity in general on the servers to have an impact.
